Trade sources said that overall sentiments were better but yarn prices remained stable because they were already hovering at higher level. Traders, however, felt that local demand of cotton yarn was still lower despite improvement in recent weeks. 30 count combed cotton yarn was traded at ₹280-285 per kg (GST extra), 34 count combed at ₹292-297 per kg and 40 count combed at ₹308-312 per kg in the Tiruppur market. The prices were hovering between ₹62,300 to ₹ 62,800 per candy of 356 kg.
