INTRODUCTION:

The Roopkund trek is a must for every traveller to India who enjoys hiking. The advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. Experience the thrill of a fantastic adventure as you go from an elevation of 8,000 feet to 16,000 feet in just six days, complete with deep, pristine woods, babbling brooks, magnificent campsites, undulating meadows, snow, and ice

Roopkund is the most well-known trek in India, and for good reason. When you reach the top of the Roopkund trek, you’ll be greeted by Ali and Bedni Bugyal, two of the most breathtaking high altitude meadows in all of India. Once you leave the meadows, the track enters some truly breathtaking alpine sections.

It’s a heart-pounding adventure to hike on snow to the Roopkund lake. Once above a ridge above Roopkund, only air stands between the hiker and the majestic Mt. Trishul, which looms over the setting and draws closer the higher the hiker climbs.

216 kilometres away, and 9-10 hours in the car, lies the Kathgodam Railway Station, where hikers can be picked up by IndiaHike.

STATEMENTS OF MAIN IMPORTANCE

A valid photo ID is required for access at forest check posts along the trail, so make sure you have a copy with you.

Lodges will be set up for you at the base camp.

The three of you will share a tent during the hike.

Closet space is available at our camp’s main building. Bring only the essentials for the trip, and nothing more.

Tents with two beds in them may be hard to come by in the months of May, June, July, and August. This is due to the fact that different countries produce the essential elements used to make tents. Their export, however, has been hampered by regional turmoil. A worldwide shortage of tents is the result of this. However, you won’t feel cramped because these tents are made to accommodate three hikers.
