The new facility will be the largest wet wipes manufacturing facility in India with capabilities for alcohol, pharma and cosmetic wipes. The facility has FSC Certification, is GMP Certified From FDA, and is also ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 22716:2007 compliant.
With a USP 32 Grade purified water system, the facility includes a Quality Control Laboratory with qualified and calibrated instruments. It also boasts of a Microbiology Laboratory facilitated with stainless steel (SS) doors and puff panels, AHU system to maintain ISO 7 and ISO 8 class area, and passboxes to avoid contamination.
The Consumer Product Division of Ginni Filaments Ltd, the India-based multi-locational company engaged in the manufacturing of cotton yarn, knitted fabric, nonwoven fabric, garments, wipes, and liquid cosmetics, will commence production at its new state-of-the-art wet wipes facility at Panoli in Bharuch district of Gujarat on September 26.
New product development capabilities at the facility include Idea Screening & Product Prototyping, Formulation Development & Testing, Packaging & Graphic Development, Secondary Packing Design & Testing, Formula & Legality Compliances, Products Efficacy & Stability, and Engineering & Sanitary Design Capability.
With the commencement of production at the new facility, Ginni will launch Chlorhexidine Gluconate Bed Bath Towel—a first bed bath towel with 5 per cent chlorhexidine as per pharma guidelines. Chlorhexidine has a great antibacterial activity than Benzalkonium Chloride. Chlorhexidine Gluconate can kill 99.9 per cent bacteria and protect from skin infection.
Intimate Hygiene wipes is another product that the company is going to launch. These wipes are designed for women to wipe off intimate area. Using this product will prevent irritation, itching, pain, bad odour, white discharge, and infections in the vaginal area, as it will maintain the desired pH level of 3.5 to 4.5, and contains 1.2 per cent lactic acid which is helpful in growth of the good bacteria. It is also enriched with natural extracts like tea tree oil and sea buckthorn oil which have anti-microbial properties, according to the company.
The company is also set to launch Pure Eyelid wipes—a pharma product—which helps to remove makeup and debris, and aids in cleaning eyelids effectively. It also helps to moisturise eyes by counteracting the effects of demodex mites that can lead to blepharitis, the company said in a brief summary of the facility.
