To be held from February 22 to 24, the event will be organised in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce Industry (FICCI). The first edition of Technotex was organised in 2011 and the event is into its 10th edition this year.

With India’s technical textiles market—the fifth largest with a size of $22.5 billion in 2021-22—growing at 9-10 per cent per annum in the last five years, the textiles ministry will soon organise ‘Technotex 2023: Envisioning Indian Technical Textiles@ 2047’ in Mumbai, aligning with government efforts to make India a top technical textiles manufacturing hub.

The event is expected to attract more than 150 technical textiles exhibitors and over 250 buyers from more than 30 countries, an official release said.

The event will discuss strategic areas like investment potential and opportunities; the start-up ecosystem in the field; user perspective; potential for protective areas and sustainable agro-produce; and standards, quality, regulatory and trade aspects.
