China’s 13,155 major apparel enterprises touched 1.08 trillion yuan (around $48.85 billion) in terms of combined operating revenue during the first nine months of 2022, which is a growth of 2.2 per cent year-on-year (YoY). The total profits of the companies added up to 49.6 billion yuan from January to September 2022 — a rise of 1.8 per cent YoY, according to the ministry of industry and information technology.
The country’s garment industry witnessed steady growth concerning exports, revenue, and profits in the first three quarters of 2022, Chinese media reports said quoting the ministry.
