The new business intelligence tool, available from this month on Cegid retail’s POS and unified commerce platform, gives an overview of individual store sales and allows managers greater control in how best to maximise store performance.
Cegid, the retail software vendor with clients including Gant and L’Oréal, has launched Cegid Retail Store Performance Dashboard, a new cloud-based service to help managers more accurately keep track of best-selling products and closely monitor shopper behaviour. Orchestra is one of the first to have already chosen to equip its stores with the solution.
The dashboard’s easy-to-use analytical tools, aimed at empowering store managers, follows previous releases more geared towards head-office control. It comes at a time when stores have been struggling post-pandemic in getting to grips with changing shopping habits. Many stores have been faced with staffing and product supply chain issues as shoppers increasingly move online. These widespread changes have encouraged some retailers to hand back greater control to individual store managers. For instance, managers can quickly see what products sell well and make sure they stock more of what local customers prefer (rather than sticking to a group-wide allocation).
Cegid Retail Store Performance Dashboard provides store managers with a comprehensive overview of store performance based on four key criteria: store metrics (traffic, conversion rates, etc.); products (best-sellers, stock rotations, etc.); staffing; and customers (purchasing habits, preferences, etc.). The data can be presented either in a simplified or detailed version, depending on the profile of the user and their appetite for data analysis, the company said in a press release.
The reporting tool means that store managers can get a better understanding of their customers and make sure stores have the right levels of stock and staff during certain periods – particularly important in the run-up to Christmas and seasonal sales. It’s even possible to measure the performance of individual staff members and suggest ways to boost sales and improve customer relations.
“As a relatively large retailer in Europe, it’s important for us to stay close to our customers. This means making sure we continually deliver a shopping experience that perfectly matches their needs and profiles. Cegid Retail Store Performance Dashboard will be a great asset for our store managers in the daily management of their stores, helping our teams become more efficient and increasing sales by strengthening customer loyalty,” said Bastien Pino, Group CIO at Orchestra.
“With Cegid Retail Store Performance Dashboard, we let our customers explore the value of data -essential to the development of their businesses – and continue to support many international retail brands excel in a new era,” added Nathalie Echinard, director of the retail business unit at Cegid.
