Winter is here and so are lazy days when you just want to stay in bed. In fact, this time of year can bring on sniffles, coughs, and colds. And that’s not all! Bones and joints also go through aches and pains in winter. In such a situation, it may be difficult to focus on a weight loss plan. However, to lose weight and maintain a high level of energy, you can modify your diet and include some winter fruits in your diet.

HealthShots got in touch with Dr Rohini Patil, who is an MBBS and a nutritionist, to find out which fruits of the winter season can help you lose a few kilos.

Dr Patil says, “Winter is the season when your diet and exercise routine requires extra attention. Due to a drop in temperature, you tend to eat more and spend less time exercising. This means that, despite your high-calorie intake, you are burning fewer calories, resulting in weight gain. However, winter weight issues can be resolved with some exercise and diet control.”

Here are 9 winter fruits that can aid in weight loss during winter:

1. Oranges

This is an extremely rich source of vitamin C and has frequently been shown to be a natural fat-burning source. Vitamin C helps the body’s metabolism function normally, making oranges the best fruit for weight loss. They are high in water and satisfy your irregular hunger pangs.
